How Addison's Ball started...

My photo
Addison was born on 1/8/08 and was diagnosed with CHD on 1/11/08. She has a rare form of CHD called Double Outlet Right Ventricle with a Ventricular Septal Defect. This means both her aorta and pulomary arteries come from the right side of her heart and the VSD is a hole. She was given a 50% chance of life. Since the diagnosis she has had two heart surgeries and is doing very well. She is full of life and a hero to all that know her. She inspired us to raise awareness and funds for this disease highly common but unpublicized condition. The first Ball was held June 7, 2008 and we were able to raise $5000 to benefit Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, currently ranked the #1 pediatric cardiac hospital in the country. We will continue to hold the Ball each year in hopes of supporting CHOP and other heart families.
